Whoa! I know I am not alone when I say, I cannot even believe it is November already?! I feel like I was just boating, sunning, and sleeping in. Here I am now, just getting home from First Quarter Parent Teacher Conferences.  Unbelievable.

The beginning of November does mean one thing, as does the beginning of every month, Farley's Currently! I may not be a consistent blogger otherwise but I sure do love this link up! Let's get started, shall we?

When we need the t.v. on but aren't necessarily watching t.v., the Big Bang Theory seems to the be the go-to.  Luckily it seems to be on TBS a lot!  Our family has probably watched every episode dozens of times each but we just never grow tired of it.

I just walked in the house from completing two days of Parent Teacher Conferences for the first quarter.  Whew! I have never been too anxious about talking with parents but I sure am happy when they're done.  For some reason, sitting down and talking all day and night is just exhausting.  You would think teaching all day would be more exhausting but something out of the norm just throws me a curveball.

November just flies by, doesn't it?  We always use the first two days of November for conferences so the kiddos are not at school. Our school district takes off for Veteran's Day and we get Wednesday through Sunday off for Thanksgiving.  We only have one full week of school with the kiddos for a grand total of only 14 teaching days in November!  While it is nice to have some time off, sometimes those short weeks are more brutal than a full week.  Am I alone? I'm sure not.

The laundry pile in my house is getting scary people! I just can't seem to find a good chunk of time to get the laundry mission accomplished.  It is not my thing to do sporadic loads here and there, I need completeness, closure.  So, I like to have a chunk of time to get it all done.  This just hasn't been in the cards for me. Oh well! Life will go on!

I am on a mission to get my plans done at school through Christmas, yes, you heard me right! We have got some busy weekends ahead and there will just not be time on Sundays to do this.  We do not get a plan period everyday at school so a lot of my planning is done after school or at home.  I had a little down time during my conference days so I did get a good start.  My goal is have them all done with copies ready within the next week.  Then I can start working on January.  That is unbelievable to me to even think about but ready or not, the school year is moving right along.

Oh.My.Goodness. I love all things Thanksgiving Dinner.  I love making the dinner, eating the dinner, having leftovers from the dinner.  You name it, I love it.  Now, I'm talking a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner here. Turkey, {real} mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, rolls, cranberries, pumpkin pie. Carb Heaven.  I know some of you from the south like to throw in a few curveballs that I am not accustomed to, however, give me a good 'ole turkey dinner any time.

That's a wrap everyone! Since I'm already a few days late, I'll make this a short and quick post! Have a great November!

  1. I love REAL mashed potatoes too. Nothing beats 'em.

  2. I love all the Thanksgiving dishes too! Every year I gain like 5 pounds. I need to search pinterest for cute new recipes to try.
