Vegas Bound!

Who is ready for Vegas?? I am, mentally, but I sure do have  A LOT to do before I board that plane on Wednesday early morning.  I have been researching stalking everyone's blogs and IG accounts for any helpful information for what will be an epic experience.  I think I have downloaded every #tptvegas15 planner and packing list that exists.  I might be what some people call obsessed.  I know my daughters sure think I am.  I think they gave up any and all hope on me when my SELFIE STICK arrived today via Amazon!  Yay!  I'm pretty sure that I am the only person living under this roof that is excited about the fact that I now own a selfie stick.  I am certain that my husband will be hiding from me for the entire weekend he is there.  Oh well.

Here are just a few of the wonderful ideas that I have gathered along the way.  First off, if you are heading to (or are already there) I sure hope you have your custom t-shirt from A+ Images.  I love mine!  They also have teacher apparel! How cool is that! I know they are in Vegas as we speak and I sure hope they do not run out of all the good stuff before I get there! Ha!

I also ordered some business cards.  I love how they turned out and could not be more excited about my overall custom blog design that goes with them from A Bird in Hand Designs.  I only bought one box and as shy as I can be in a crowd of unknown people, I may come home with all of them, lol.  Oh well!

Now, the buttons.  Oh how everyone talks about the buttons!  I may have been a little too over anxious about ordering the buttons before I read up enough on them.  Oops.  Anyway, I originally ordered some {small-ish} buttons before I realized that they needed to be BIG so people approaching could actually read them, duh!  So, I ordered some more.  Good thing they were cheap!  I do love how they turned out as well but I am not real sure where they will {if ever} get used.  The plan right now is to be sporting the large circle button.

Onto the planners/binders/notebook arena.  Again, I probably jumped the gun a little too early in all my excitement HOWEVER I am sure that I will actually use all of these:)  I spent my afternoon finally printing all of the session handouts, planner pages (from an assortment of wonderful TpTer's) , organizing them, coming up with a cover on the fly and ta-da! The big notebook is what you get.  I just need to hop on over to Office Max to get it binded, which shouldn't be an issue because I may or may not be next door getting a mani/pedi before boarding the plane:)

Now, the luggage tags.  Did I really need them?  Absolute not! Will I even use them? Not sure yet.  Were they an impulse buy?  You betcha!  Of all the things I purchased from Zazzle, they were definitely the priciest.  Not even sure how I am going to justify these.  But, they are cute and they match, right?

That's it!  Along with those precious portable phone chargers that EVERYONE says to bring.  I actually am 'borrowing' TWO from my daughters.  I told them it was a necessity.  I'm positive they will be.  Much more so than the luggage tags, ha!

I cannot wait to see what Wednesday will bring.  For the conference (definitely) but also because I will be finally be able to get some of those precious Vegas shots for the Blog Hoppin Scavenger Hunt #bloghoppin2015 !!!  Seriously, I am nervous and I am excited all at once.  I don't think I was this nervous when I moved away to college not knowing a single soul. This is far and away out of my comfort zone.  I'll be sure to report back in when I return.  Wish me luck!

  2. Hi Chris,
I love all your personalized stuff that you brought to Vegas. I went to the teacher blogger event (not the conference) and SDE Differentiation conference and was not prepared. I wish I had, because I got some fun business cards and things from others. I hope it went well for you!! :) I found your site on Hanging Around with Primary's #littlefishteacherblogger.
I'm a fellow 2nd grade teacher and it's fun to find other teachers. I'll do my best to keep up with your blog this year.
    All the best,
    Laura K.
