Tell All Tuesday!

My sweet friends Diana at My Day in K and Jayme at Teach Talk Inspire have been hosting a fun linky for Tell All Tuesday the past couple of weeks.  I have been so busy that I just haven't been able to keep up!  But! Today I am making the time to join in!

1.) Visit the Ron Clark Academy! I am so green with jealousy over everyone's posts all school year when they visit the RCA.  I know this may be waaaayy down the road for me BUT I am really set on making this happen at some point in time while I am still able-bodied to become Slide Certified! lol

2.) I just opened my TpT store less than a year ago and have so many things in my head or half-finished!  I need to get going if I want to accomplish anything! I know I can do it but life just seems to get in the way sometimes!  Baby steps.... no stress here. I will not let it control my life but it is a little addicting:)

3.) I just finished my 9th year teaching.  I need to move buildings ... again.  This will be the FOURTH building I am in!  Not just classrooms, but buildings!  Actually, this will be the fifth classroom!  Isn't that crazy!  My teaching partner only has three years left until retirement but unfortunately, enrollment for next year dictated another move for me.  I was so hoping to hang onto where I was until she retired, then I would have been 'top dog' for second grade in my building and never have another worry about being forced to move.  I am trying to look at it as a door opening to new opportunities instead of a door closing to that opportunity.  At least my district custodial staff does the heavy lifting and moves everything once I have it packed up.  I am trying not to think about the monstrous amount of work waiting for me to unpack everything.  I am debating on whether to do a lot of it before or after Vegas.  I am a little nervous that once I get back from Vegas I will be full of so many ideas and new motivation that I may not want to be bothered with unpacking. Ha!  We'll see!

Until next week!  Enjoy the hot, sunny summer days!

  1. I'm moving this year too. This will be my second building and 3rd classroom in four years. It's exhausting, isn't it?! I completely agree about being full of ideas after Vegas. I may get some of the unpacking done before hand and save the fun classroom setup stuff for after so I could use all those awesome ideas.

  5. I totally want to go to RCA too!! It's a bummer to move! I know the feeling all too well. I am staying put for the first time in four years. My poor mom has moved more times than not in the 11 years she has been a teacher. It just means the admin knows that you are flexible and a team player and that they can trust you in any situation you're thrown into. (But it still stinks to move!) See you in Vegas, friend!

  7. Chris, I enjoyed reading our bucket list. Visiting the RCA academy would be a dream come true. I hope that you are able to do that sometime soon. That is tough to constantly move, but you have the right attitude. Things will fall into place and you will be able to reach your goal of staying in one place. Thanks for linking up with us and sharing your bucket list.
