Five for Friday

Hey there - Happy Friday! I only have ONE.MORE.FRIDAY left in the school year. Can I get an Amen?!?! I am so ready for summer! I know I'm not the only one out there. I'm here linking up with Doodlebugs Teaching for Five for Friday! Let's get started, shall we?

I have not only been busy with my own end of school year routine but also my daughters. I had no idea how much those seniors in high school and their parents had going on! Here she is after receiving her Academic Excellence Award for being in the top 10% of her graduating class. So proud.

We finally took our 'once a year' field trip. We always go to the Missouri Botanical Gardens. Most of our kiddos have never been and they love it! While I didn't take any photos of them inside the gardens, this is a sure sign of success! Sleeping on the bus on the way back to school. Love it!

I received my first Very Busy Box this week and I LOVE it! I am addicted! I already cannot wait for June's box of goodies. I am not sure how they will continue to top the month before but it sure is fun.

So, I already mentioned how busy life has been with end-of-school events with my high school senior. On Tuesday, we attended the National Honor Society program at school. She was 'retired' and her younger sister was initiated in. The fun never ends;) I really am so proud of both of them. They work so hard and deserve everything they earn. #proudmom

We had a little impromptu shaving cream/word wall words party today in my classroom. While the kids were busy with their 'first' - yes, we do several - end of year desk cleanings, I opened up my standing storage cabinet to clean out a few things and found 4 cans of shaving cream. Since I will be cleaning out everything (more on that in a later post) I thought now was as good a time as any to put it to good use. The kids had a great time!

That's it for now! I am beyond Friday night tired. I.need.sleep. I have one more week to go - #herecomessummertime
